Star-DJ Alle Farben to be official Celebrate at the Gate DJ!
Electropop duo Glasperlenspiel completes line-up of the New Year's Eve show at the Brandenburg Gate
With only 80 days to go until New Year's Eve, "Celebrate at the Gate", the two-day New Year's Eve event at the Brandenburg Gate, have added star DJ Alle Farben and electropop duo Glasperlenspiel to the lineup.
The sib Silvester in Berlin Veranstaltungen GmbH has signed up the German superstar DJ and producer Frans Zimmer aka Alle Farben as the DJ for "Celebrate at the Gate". For the entire duration of the show, the Berlin-born DJ will turn the space in front of the Brandenburg Gate into a large outdoor dance floor and excite the audience with a multi-faceted set. Not only equipped with turntables, but also with a microphone, he will be the active link between the presenters and the audience on New Year's Eve.
"It makes me incredibly happy to finally be able to play in front of a live audience in my hometown again on New Year's Eve and to celebrate with the fans. The last few years have shown how important it is to dance together. I want to inspire people with my tracks and take them on a journey into a positive new era," announces the star DJ.
New Year's Eve fans can look forward to more electronic sounds with Glasperlenspiel, one of Germany's most successful electropop formations. Singer Carolin Niemczyk and vocalist and keyboard player Daniel Grunenberg combine danceable electro beats with catchy pop melodies. They will be on the big stage in front of the Brandenburg Gate on New Year's Eve.
"Being able to be part of 'Celebrate at the Gate' is very special for us because we can unite the fans with our music and add a bit of warmth between people in a time marked by distance. We are looking forward to the New Year and the months to come," say the two artists.
In 80 days, Berliners and visitors from all over the world will celebrate New Year’s eve together in front of the stage at the Brandenburg Gate. Subject to official approval, "Celebrate at the Gate" will take place in compliance with all current regulations of the Infection Protection Regulations as well as all necessary safety measures of an open-air production. To achieve this, the organisers continuously develop concepts and adapt them to current conditions together with the Berlin authorities. The health and protection of every single participant in the show – in front of, on and behind the stage – is our top priority.
